Toni KingGreetings, Dear Ones!

“I fairly sizzle with zeal and enthusiasm and spring forth with a mighty faith to do the things that ought to be done by me.” – Charles Fillmore

I find the combination of Zeal with Affirmations particularly “magical”! The Substance of the Universal Life Energy that our Unity pioneers spoke of is never closer than when addressed with Zeal. This week we’ll be talking about how we can truly be healed – body, mind, and soul – through the use of the Power of Zeal. Remember this from our reading on Zeal?:

“There is nothing so fixed in your consciousness that Zeal can’t dissolve and overcome. Once fixed beliefs and fears are shattered, their very structure is exposed to the light of truth. There is no disease that can survive in light, and Zeal is ever urging you onward into the light.”

What can be more healing than that? In keeping with the theme of Affirmations, here are a few to hold you over until Sunday:

“I enthusiastically accept my good and go forward to achieve my purpose.”

“I Am the Christ expressing. I allow the Truth of what I am to shine Light on my doubts and fears. I move forward as this Light, in faith and confidence, knowing that no harm can come to me.”

“No harm can come to me” is a Truth Lesson that is taught in A Course In Miracles. It refers to the fact that nothing can ever destroy us. We are eternal beings of the one Mind, and nothing can ever destroy that, nor harm the Truth of what we are: expressions of the one Christ.

“A miracle is a correction. It does not create, nor really change at all. It merely looks on devastation, and reminds the mind that what it sees is false. It undoes error, but does not attempt to go beyond perception, nor exceed the function of forgiveness. … Forgiveness is the home of miracles.”
Lesson 341 – A Course In Miracles

Now, add Zeal to this definition of “miracle” and you’ll have the “magic” of which I speak. It comes from the combination of joy, love, and enthusiasm that fires up the heart and mind. Zap a beam of that into anything that needs healing and watch your cut heal, your cold dissipate, and your sorrow melt into peace. This power transforms whatever needs to be forgiven so that the miracles can happen.

“Each time we pray positively and faithfully, we are calling forth the divine activity that is always within us. By affirming life within, we are allowing the healing activity of God to flow freely and to do its healing, revitalizing work.” – Deborah L. Cameron, Unity Truth Student
