Greetings, Beloveds!

One Humanity, Many Stories. This is the theme we’re working with this year; and looking back – while entering the sixth month of 2019 – I have noticed how revealing this theme has been for the potential for growth. Each of our “Stories” are so rich with challenges and triumphs, giving and receiving, beauty and pain, love and even loss. This month, we will be talking about loss as we delve into the powerful subject of letting go.

What is your story of realizing that you must let go of something in order to gain More? When speaking spiritually, I like to capitalize the word ‘more’ to indicate the divine aspects of what we’re reaching for. In order to have an experience of More-ness – more Good, more Love, more God, we have to create space in our lives and be willing to let go of the old. So, what are you willing to let go of in order to have more of an experience of God in your life?

Can you let go of old thought patterns that tell you that your suffering is someone else’s fault. Can you let go of expectations that the people in your life should be behaving differently. Can you let go of the resistance you’re holding, the walls your building, your belief in separation? There is so much “stuff” going on in our subconscious minds that we can ever so gently become more and more aware of as we choose to “let go.”

Letting Go: I let go of any concern and allow good to unfold in my life.

Immediately following our Service this Sunday, we will be paying a special tribute to a very special member that “let go” of her hold on this lifetime this past Fall. Irene Mieko Atkins was a dedicated Truth student and a pillar at Unity of the Sierra. Her passing opened a gate for all of us to step through and glimpse the depth of her beauty and the impact she had on her world. Whether you knew her personally or not, the lessons of a life well lived are a blessing for all who are left behind to continue the learning and growth.

Hope to see you there!
Blessings,
